    Description

    Replica/Kit Makes 67 Shelby Mustang Vicstang Replica
    Health issues prevent me fromfinishing this project. I am hoping that someone will complete it as a drag car(less work) or a street driven replica (more work).
    1998 Ford Crown vic police chassis. Stock wheelbase, treadwith, brakes and suspension are retained.
    The 98 and up Crown Vics have 4-bar parallel rear suspension and watts link. These parts should be beefed up if the big-block power will be used. Some of the brake and suspension parts may need replacement depending upon wear.
    The front and back ends of the frame are shortened. A new engine and transmission crossmember have been made and are in place. More detail follows.
    The bodywork is 67 mustang fiberglass body which I have modified.
    The rocker panels are widened and extended to be even with the bottom of the frame
    The trunk lid is a reproduction 67 Shelby fiberglass part with attachment for hinges. I have hinges.
    I grafted shelby end caps into the fiberglass body
    The hood is 67 shelby mounted on hood pins.
    The fenders and nose are one piece which I made major modifications to; not Mustang or Shelby
    All the fiberglass is isolated from the chassis and rollcage with rubber vibration mounts.
    The driver's door is a new steel reproduction door with hinges, latch, handles and control rods. It is mounted to the roll cage, not the fiberglass. I also have an unused fiberglass driver door.
    The firewall is now metal, most stays with the chassis.
    The rollcage-body mounting structure is only tack-welded. It should be completed by a professional welder for safety. The main hoop is 1.625 OD 10 gauge mild steel. The rest is 11 gauge 1.625 OD.
    The
    engine
    is stock used 460. I took it apart and the block has not been bored oversize and the crank has not either. Another used stock (not running) engine goes with the project if the buyer wants it.
    The engine and transmission mounts are new Genuine Ford 1996 F250 mounts.
    A rear sump oil pan can be used but an external belt driven oil pump will be required unless the original crown vic front crossmember is further modified.
    Driveline;
    Lakewood safety bellhousing, there is not a clutch inside.
    Unused Richmond "super street" 5 speed manual transmission. I bought it new, overfilled it with lube and rotate it by hand periodically.
    Stock 8.8 Crown Vic rearend.
    Interior;
    All sheetmetal was made by me from 5052 alum. sheet.
    The driveshaft tunnel is 10 gauge steel (NHRA requirement)
    I have drawings for everything I made.
    some panels that are screwed together should be riveted
    New unused
    Kirkey
    "road race" seat with snap in padded upholstered cover
    new 2008 ranger brake and clutch pedal assembly
    '98 crown vic tilt steering column with new ignition switch
    used 98 mustang hydro-boost unit for steering and brakes.
    Fuel tank;
    new unused "Jaz" products 22 gal. polymer tank with mounting straps. Also have new filler neck pipes.
    One new American racing alloy 16x8 wheel. The other wheels are crown vic "steelies"
    Two new unused tires one is 60 series profile, the other is 50 series.
