    Description

Up for your consideration is a recent find from a bottle digging adventure! This amazing bottle is in great original condition, with some very minor hazing to the outside, mostly on the front. I have only cleaned this item with some soap & water, with a soft toothbrush. There is still original cork & about 1/4 of original contents inside of the bottle. If you get it close enough to your face, you can smell the petroleum jelly based liniment.
Mr. Worner had a rattlesnake farm at which he put on daily demonstrations of the "killing of the vicious beasts" for their fat, from which this liniment was made. There are articles out there which speak of Mr. Worner having a storefront from which he sold his liniment, but it is also believed that he ran a mail-order for bottles of product as well. These bottles, in various sizes, show up from time to time in the Great Lakes region.
This bottle is 3 1/2 inches tall, the last photo shows it pictured next to a 1 oz medicine bottle. (not included in sale.) They are the exact same size, and if you look closely at the front middle shoulders of the bottle pictured, you will see the 1 for 1 oz. There are a couple small pieces of dirt that have found their way past the cork and into the liniment, but cork seems to be holding everything in. When we ship this bottle, we will place a piece of clear plastic wrap, rubber banded a round the lip of the bottle just incase the cork leaks, or happens to fall into the bottle. It is about 100 years old, and fairly dry. This will be to ensure that it will not leak into packaging. Bottle will be highly protected, and package will be insured, and tracking will be provided. Thank you for your consideration of this amazing piece of history.
