In addition to being a great NBA / NIKE collectible, the artist Jeff Koons has received a lot of attention for his poster work with Nike. The posters Jeff Koons shot for NIKE are now consider to be POP Art and have been a part of multiple Art Exhibits.
Jeff Koons is widely regarded as one of the most important, influential, popular, and controversial artists of the postwar era. Throughout his career, he has pioneered new approaches to the readymade, tested the boundaries between advanced art and mass culture, challenged the limits of industrial fabrication, and transformed the relationship of artists to the cult of celebrity and the global market. Yet despite these achievements, Koons has never been the subject of a retrospective surveying the full scope of his career.
Equilibrium Exhibit:
Koons staged his first solo gallery exhibition, Equilibrium, in 1985. The show presented a multilayered allegory of, in Koons’s words, unattainable “states of being” or salvation. Cast-bronze floatation devices, for example, maintained a permanent inflatedness, yet they would kill rather than save their users. On the walls hung framed, unaltered Nike posters, procured by Koons from the company’s headquarters, that conjoined the perfection of appropriated prints with that of the famous athletes they featured.

This Vintage, Original, NIKE PDC Reference Stock Poster is in Excellent, Never Hung, Condition with some edge creases but still TONS of EYE APPEAL!  No pin holes, tape residue or tears!  There is some very minor edge creasing, which can easily be taken care of with framing.

This poster has been sourced by a 30+ year employee of NIKE.  They were responsible for the NIKE Promotional Distribution Center (PDC)
This poster is an Original NIKE PDC Reference Stock; which were limited to only a couple of each posters.
This poster has never been hung, so no pin holes or tape residue!
The back of the poster had NIKE's Poster Reference Stock Number written on it more than 25 years ago.
The Reference Stock Number identifies this poster as one of NIKE PDC's Reference Stock!
The NIKE PDC's Reference Stock Number is a time induced Certificate Of Authenticity. It takes many years for a permanent maker to bleed through this kind of paper stock.  If somebody today wrote on the back, there would be no bleed.
You can frame and display this poster with Pride; knowing that you own one of the only, if not the only, NIKE PDC's Reference Stock for this specific poster.

Artis Gilmore
is an American retired basketball player who played in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and National Basketball Association (NBA). Gilmore was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on August 12, 2011.  A star center during his two collegiate years at Jacksonville University, in Jacksonville, Florida, Gilmore led the Dolphins to the NCAA Division I championship game in 1970, where his team was beaten 80-69 by the UCLA Bruins. Gilmore remains the top player in rebounds per game in the history of NCAA Division I basketball. Gilmore followed five All-Star seasons with the Kentucky Colonels of the ABA by becoming the first overall pick of the 1976 NBA dispersal draft, which was held after the ABA was disbanded, as four teams transferred to the NBA. In Gilmore's complete pro basketball career, he was an eleven-time All-Star, the ABA Rookie of the Year, and an ABA MVP, and he remains the NBA career leader for field goal percentage. Nicknamed "The A-Train", the 7'2" (2.18 m) Gilmore once played in 670 consecutive games.
