The "
DOG MIXTURE
" embossing on this bottle kind of carries the connotation that it was a 'patent' type medicine; for dogs!   It probably was a cure-all for conditions peculiar to the canine species as it looks very similar to all of the patent medicine bottles that held cures for mankind so I am sure this dog 'mixture' claimed to cure the same magnitude of afflictions known to dogs.
But this product never really caught on as it is not a commonly seen bottle.  This is a nice bottle for sure,
made with very THICK GLASS, making it an unusually HEAVY example
