Star Trek Original Series Promotional Nichelle Nichols Autograph Photo

Up for Sale is a Black & White 1960's era photo of Nichelle Nichols as Lt. Uhura Communications Officer from the Original Star Trek Series. She is posing happily on the transporter pad ready to be beamed down to another planet for the next exiting adventure with the rest of the Enterprise crew. This photo is in excellent condition for its age or better! The back is completely white like pictures of old unlike today where they show the paper used such as Kodak & Co. The signature is absolutely perfect in silver ink with no fading. It looks great signed on the black background of the transporter. I want to point out there are many color photos of the same type that have been available from Ms. Nichols website and live meets for many years. This particular photo is unique and does not fall into that category. Although the photo is old and well preserved Sharpie & Co. did not come out with a silver ink marker until 2004. My guess that is why the signature is so well written and in pristine condition since it had to be signed post 2004 era. All of the crew members had the chance to take promo photos like this back in 1966 but few lasted the test of time let alone had the chance to be autographed by the up and coming star themselves!
Currently Ms. Nichols website shows no pictures to actually see what is for sale and My Heart is Saddened to see she is in failing health. May God Bless Her and let us all thank her for the wonderful years she gave on television and film!
